Opening Hours and Hygiene Fees

Opening Hours and Reduced Contribution :

As per the specifications of the administrative directive issued by the Ministry of Family, seniors and the Status of Women on the 2nd of October, 2006, please note the following very important points:

  1. The opening hours of the daycare are from 7 am to 6pm, Monday to Friday as established in our internal by-laws presented to the ministry at the moment of our initial opening.
  1. These hours convenience the large majority of the parents of our daycare
  1. The daycare must provide an educational daycare service up to a maximum of 10 hours per day within these opening hours.
  1. Any tardiness (departure of a child after 6pm – normal closing hour of the daycare), notwithstanding if the 10 hours have been fully consumed or not, is subject to a late charge of $12 per hour, starting and payable from the FIRST minute. Therefore, any departure after 6pm is subject to this fee.
  1. Any additional services such as additional hours over and above the 10 alotted hours and/or in excess of the regular opening hours and/or occasional service are subject to the same hourly rate of $12/hour starting and payable from the FIRST minute.
  1. In order to avoid any misunderstandings, and for greater clarity, the providing of educational daycare services is timed from the moment the child enters the play area (Class room), and stops when the child exits the play area (Class room), The educators are advised and know that it is their duty to punch the child’s card at the moment the child passes the doorframe of the classroom.

It is important to note that the refusal and/or delay of payment of the parental contribution is sufficient justification for the daycare to cancel your contract.

Hygiene Products :

At the request of the Parents Advisory Committee, the daycare has decided to delay the implementation of the « Ration Booklet » which is to be instituted to control the contribution of hygiene products.

The Parent’s Advisory Committee will study and examine the following elements :

  • The quantities required
  • The quality of the products
  • The price the daycare offers these products

The committee will present its recommendations in mid-January, and their recommendations will be put in place in early February. If you have comments or suggestions, please communicate with the PAC.

We remind you that you have the right to chose whether you BUY the product from the daycare or if you PROVIDE the product. It’s one or the other, not NEITHER ONE.
