As you are aware, the daycare provides bed sheets for naptime. One of the available hygiene services is the daily washing of these bed sheets.

For those parents who have opted NOT to pay for the daily washing and replacing of a clean bed sheet, this bed sheet is given to the parent on the Friday to be washed over the weekend and to be returned promptly and washed on the Monday (as the child will need to use it for nap time). 

Many parents do not return the sheet, and there is even one parent who ended up with 4 of the daycare’s sheets at home. This is clearly abusive. If any parent likes our bed sheets, we would be more than happy to sell you any quantity you desire, but please do not steal the daycares. Please return the bed sheet to the daycare on the Monday as it is needed. 

As there has been abuse in the past of this also, the administration of the daycare (further to a positive consultation with the parent’s committee) has decided to implement measures to stop this abuse. 

Effective immediately, should the sheets not be returned on the Monday, the parent must sign an undertaking to return the sheet by the next day (Tuesday). The child will be provided with a clean sheet for nap time and the parent will be charged for the cleaning of the second bed sheet.  

If the parent still neglects to bring the sheet back on the Tuesday, the daycare will invoice the parent $20 to purchase a new sheet… and at that point you can keep the sheet in good health.
