Medication and Plastic Bags

Important Memo to the parents

24 March 2009

All medications and health products must be handed into the office to a manager.  Do not leave any medications to an educator or in the children’s basket.  All medication or health products that are not covered by the government protocols signed with your contract must have a pharmacist sticker representing a medical prescription and you must also sign a medical consent form before the medication enters the daycare.  All medications and health products must be kept in the infirmary under lock and key, and in no other place.  The daycare management will be checking twice daily.  Any medication or health product found in the child’s basket, expired, without proper labeling, or without parental consent will be destroyed and thrown in the garbage, and will not be returned to the parents.

Plastic bags are strictly prohibited in the daycare, as it is a choking hazard for the children.  All plastic bags will be destroyed and thrown in the garbage with the content.

Thank you
