Parent-Educator Meeting
On Monday, 22 December, 2008, we will hold our first Parent-Educator meeting for this year. During that meeting, you will receive your child’s summative evaluation report for the period September to December 2008, the finished PCM book and the arts and crafts completed by your child during this period. You will equally have the chance to speak with your child’s educator and daycare administration. It would also be a good opportunity for you to present your educator with a small holiday gift as a token of your appreciation
Holiday Closures
As is mentioned in the Contract which you have signed with your daycare, the following days are statutory holidays, and the daycare will remain closed:
Wed, 24 December, 2008
Thurs, 25 December, 2008
Fri, 26 December, 2008
Wed, 31 December, 2008
Thurs, 1 January, 2009
The “Holiday” rate applies only to these days. Any absences on days which the daycare is open are subject to the regular rate.
Invoicing / Relevé 24
As you are aware, the year is coming to a fast close. Right after the holidays, we will proceed to issue the income tax receipts for the 2008 tax year, known as the Relevé 24, which you will receive on 28 February, 2009. On the Relevé 24, we must report the monies paid to the daycare during 2008. This refers to amounts COLLECTED and does NOT include uncollected or outstanding amounts.
It is therefore of great importance that you settle all outstanding daycare bills before December 31st, 2008 otherwise any unpaid amounts will not be reflected on your tax receipt and you will NOT be able to claim these amounts on your income tax. For those of you departing on vacation for the holidays, it is strongly recommended that you settle your invoice for the year PRIOR to your departure.
